Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim (UIN SUSKA Riau) baru saja melakukan acara Pengukuhan Guru Besar pada Rabu (1/11/2017). Pengukuhan Guru Besar Dekan Fakultas Syariah dan Hukum (FSH) Prof. Dr. H. Akbarin.M.Ag.,M.Pd ini diadakan digedung Islamic Center (IC) UIN SUSKA Riau.
Acara ini juga turut dihadiri oleh Rektor UIN SUSKA Riau Prof. Dr.H. Munzir Hitami, M.A dan civitas akademik UIN SUSKA Riau. Turut hadirpula para tamu undangan diantaranya Walikota Clown Bouncy Castle Pekanbaru Dr. H. Firdaus,S.T.,M.T., mantan Rektor UIN SUSKA Riau Amir Lutfi, Mantan Bupati Kampar Jefri Nur, dan Ketua DPRD Kampar Ahmad Fikri.
Guru Besar atau Profesor adalah prestasi tertinggi di bidang akademik dengan penilaian Tri Darma perguruan tinggi yakni pendidikan dan pengajaran dikelas, penelitian dan pengabdian serta pengabdian masyarakat. Ini juga merupakan pengukan guru besar Syariah Ilmu Hukum ke-18. Munzir Hitami mengungkapkan kebahagiaanya dengan bertambahnya Guru Besar UIN SUSKA Riau “Tentunya kita sambut dengan gembira bertambahnya sumber daya kita.” ungkapnya.
Acara ini ditutup dengan sambutan Walikota Pekanbaru Dr. H. Firdaus,S.T.,M.T., ditengah pidatonya ia juga menyampaikan pesan agar generasi muda mempersiapkan diri untuk membangun Indonesia. Melalui wawancara bersama Tim Liputan Suska FM Dr. Emran Gani salah satu dosen FSH mengharapkan agar dosen-dosen yang lain bisatermotivasi untuk mengejar prestasi akademik sebagai guru besar “Harapan kita semua, agar dosen-dosen yang bergelar doctor untuk dapat mengejar prestasi akademik sebagai guru besar.” Dikutip dari Tim Suska FM
